A shimmer of ocean color captured in silver and stone.
These earrings feature two luminous abalone drops, each one full of shifting greens, blues, violets, and smoky undertones that glow differently with every turn. I wrapped each piece by hand with sterling silver, using generous, heavier gauge wire so the setting feels both sculptural and secure. The silver curves around the abalone like a small tidepool frame, highlighting the natural patterning of the shell.
Above each drop rests a tiny cluster of genuine gemstones. I paired green chalcedony and blue apatite together for their cool, watery glow. Their soft sparkle adds movement and color without competing with the beauty of the abalone below. Each gemstone is individually wrapped on sterling silver ball headpins and gathered into a small cluster that drapes gently at the top of the earrings.
The ear wires are also shaped by hand from sterling silver, filed smooth, and polished to a soft shine. These earrings measure just over one and three fourths inches in length and are lightweight, comfortable, and full of natural shimmer.
