Emerald Moon Cascade Earrings
A sweep of moonlight, a shimmer of deep forest green, and the slow craft of hand shaped copper.
These earrings were created in my little Northwoods studio, beginning with lengths of jeweler’s grade copper that I shaped into soft crescent moons. Each curve is formed by hand, guided gently into place, then wrapped with fine copper wire to create a subtle ridge of texture across the base of the moon.
From each crescent fall three strands of sparkling green crystal beads, their faceted surfaces catching the light like sunlit pines after rain. At the bottom of each strand hangs a slender hammered copper drop, adding a delicate sense of movement and soft chiming energy when worn.
The copper has been oxidized and then polished to bring out the contrast in every ridge and coil. Shadows settle into the wrapped grooves while the higher surfaces glow with warm highlights. With time the copper will continue to deepen into a natural patina that only adds to the richness and character of the piece.
These earrings measure just over three and a half inches long from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the hammered copper drops. They are dramatic without feeling heavy, full of beautiful movement and a graceful, lunar silhouette.
A Note on Handcrafted Beauty
All my jewelry is made slowly and thoughtfully by hand. Tiny variations, faint tool marks, and small irregularities are a natural part of the process and add to the charm of owning something crafted one piece at a time. The pair you receive will look nearly identical to the earrings pictured, while still having its own quiet uniqueness.
