Blue Dew Drop Scroll Earrings
A glimmer of soft blue light framed in flowing copper scrolls.
These earrings are one of my more intricate designs, shaped slowly and intentionally in my little Northwoods studio. Each pair begins with jeweler’s grade raw copper that I hand form into graceful curves and looping scrolls. Every bend is shaped by eye and by feel, giving the earrings a gentle symmetry that still retains the warmth of human hands.
Suspended within the wirework is a tiny blue glass droplet, like a bead of morning dew caught on a vine. A second teardrop hangs below, giving the earrings a quiet shimmer as they move. The combination of warm copper and cool blue glass creates a soft, luminous contrast that feels both elegant and whimsical.
All components are handmade, including the ear wires. I shape, hammer, file, and polish each one so they feel smooth and comfortable against your skin. The copper is left raw and bright, allowing it to deepen naturally over time. As it slowly ages, it will develop a gentle, warm patina that settles into the curves and coils of the design, adding even more character.
These earrings measure a little over 2.5 inches long from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the glass drop. They are full of movement and have a lovely, elongated silhouette that catches the eye without feeling heavy.
A Note on Handcrafted Beauty
All my jewelry is made by hand, one piece at a time. Faint tool marks, small variations in the curves, and tiny quirks are part of the charm of handmade work. The pair you receive will look very close to the earrings shown here while still carrying its own quiet uniqueness.
