A little shimmer of midnight blue for your everyday magic.
These earrings were created by hand in my Northwoods studio, where I love shaping raw copper into pieces that feel both earthy and enchanting. Each earring begins as a length of jeweler’s grade copper wire that I bend, wrap, and coil into a soft spiral. The circle is then wrapped by hand, one section at a time, with deep cobalt crystals that catch the light like tiny drops of starlight.
Every component is made by me, including the ear wires. I shape, hammer, file, and polish each piece so the earrings feel comfortable, sturdy, and full of quiet character. The copper has been oxidized (darkened) and softly polished, allowing the shadows to rest in the small grooves and folds of the wire. This creates a warm, lived in glow that highlights the details. With time it will continue to deepen into a gentle patina that grows lovelier as it ages.
These earrings measure approximately 2.75 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the hoop. They have a gentle sway when worn and are surprisingly lightweight despite the detailed wire work.
Each item in my shop is made by hand, not by machines. Tiny variations, faint tool marks, or natural quirks are part of the charm of handcrafted art. The pair you receive will look very similar to the one shown in the photos, while still carrying its own special uniqueness.
